Fabric is lovely and exactly what was hoped: smooth but with the slight roughness of texture typical to mulberry silk. The champagne color is pale cream with a golden undertone.

I generally wear a US size 4 in tops and, based on the sizing guide, I ordered a size small and am very pleased with the overall fit. The 23-inch length is a short for a blouse that is meant to be tucked in. I have a long torso and this might not be a problem for others but a longer cut would have been much appreciated in my case.

The little tie at the collar is attached via button and easily removed (to my relief).

In the website images, the blouse appears to have a particularly long spearpoint collar that extends almost to the third button and looks to be about four inches, which appealed because I was looking for a period-accurate accompaniment for a 1930s-style double-breasted suit jacket. The blouse I received has a less dramatic collar than desired. Measuring three inches at its widest point, it is still longer than most blouses on the market and will get the job done.
